VITTORIA WOMEN'S INSTITUTE DONATES $1000 TO THE NGH

The Vittoria Women's Institute continues to show their support for the Norfolk General Hospital. On Thursday they presented the NGH with a cheque for $1,000. The money will be used for the hospital's Automated Drug Dispensing Cabinet campaign.

CHANGES COMING TO ONTARIO'S FARM LICENCE PLATE REQUIREMENTS

The province is making changes to its farm licence plate requirements. Effective January 1st, if you want to buy or attach farm plates to a new commercial vehicle over three thousand kilograms you will need to provide documentation to demonstrate you have a farm business.

With 2014 coming to a close, those at Town Hall are looking forward to bringing in the New Year. There's a hefty to-do list for 2015, including the opening of the new administrations building, making a decision on the underpass repairs in Simcoe and looking at a medical center for Port Dover.

A BOOST OF VOLUNTEERS HAS HELPED THE SALVATION ARMY'S KETTLE CAMPAIGN

The Salvation Army is getting closer to its final goal of their Christmas campaign. As part of their charity drives, kettles have been placed all over the community to collect donations, and they're also sending out care packages to families in need for Christmas.

When it comes to the health of residents in Norfolk County, in comparison to the rest of the province and nationally, we're unhealthy people. The Canadian Institution of Health Information released their stats for the our region, which includes the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant LHIN.

MISSING SCOTLAND TEEN LOCATED SAFE AND SOUND

The missing 19 year old from Scotland has been found and is safe and sound. Geoffrey Anderson was located in Brant County this afternoon. Brant County OPP had issued a missing persons notice after Anderson left his home on Tuesday morning.

The Long Point Region Conservation Authority is asking for some additional funds from Norfolk in their 2015 budget. They want Norfolk to fork over an extra $102,000 this year.

STILL NO SIGN OF THE MISSING TEEN FROM SCOTLAND

There's still no sign of a missing teenager from Scotland and the concern is growing at an all time high with the Brant County O-P-P. They continue searching for 19-year old Geoffrey Anderson who vanished after leaving his home Tuesday morning.
