Police have released some new information after Thursdays fatal crash on Norfolk Street North. A 63 year old man from Bayham was killed after slamming into a hydro pole just before noon yesterday.

OPP CATCH ALLEGED POPPY THIEF

The Norfolk OPP believe they have their man in terms the so called poppy thief. Police have arrested 20 year old Cody Arthur James Christian of Norfolk. They say he stole a poppy box donation from the Wrap it Up counter located in the food court at the Simcoe Mall on West street.

SIMCOE LIBRARY CLOSED UNTIL MONDAY DECEMBER 1ST

An electrical fire that forced the library in Simcoe to shut its doors since Monday are going to be closed longer than originally thought. Officials with the Simcoe Branch say the library will re-open to the public on Monday December 1st at 10 a.m.

ICY ROADS LEAD TO A NUMBER OF CRASHES IN AND AROUND NORFOLK

Despite repeated warnings from police, some drivers continue to drive like maniacs on icy and snow covered roadways. The Norfolk OPP reported a number of collisions during the Friday morning rush hour in Norfolk County. Two crashes happened at Queenways and Donley Drive in Simcoe.

MAN EXPOSED HIMSELF TO A WOMAN IN SIMCOE

Norfolk OPP are looking for the publics help in finding a man who apparently exposed himself to a woman on Windham Street in Simcoe. According to police the man approached the young woman in his white 4 door pick up truck and asked her if she wanted a ride.
