A beacon of light will soon be returning to Wellington Park in Simcoe. Members of the Simcoe Lions Club tell myFM, the Lighthouse will come back in late September or early October, and it will be bigger and better than before.

LCBO EXTENDS HOURS AS POTENTIAL STRIKE LOOMS

With the looming threat of a strike overhead, the LCBO is extending some store hours across the province. Here in Norfolk, only Waterford and Simcoe will see the most of these extended hours. For Simcoe, the store will be open at 9 a.m.

OPP CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE CRASH INVOLVING TWO BIG RIGS

Police say it could have been much worse. Investigators with the Norfolk OPP say only one person suffered minor injuries after a transport and tanker truck collided at the intersection of the Blueline and St. Johns Road. It happened Thursday morning, and police say charges are pending.

Norfolk County Fire and Rescue Services is looking for more female firefighters. That was Kaileigh Grant, a minority at Norfolk County Fire and Rescue, as one of the few females across the county volunteering.
