A local business owner is commenting on a release sent out by Norfolk County regarding their temporary closure.
According to the release from the county sent out on Friday, Fancy Face – Fancy It Up on Owen Street in Simcoe was ordered closed after a compliance inspection.
The business, which provides services such as microblading, microshading, and permanent makeup, was said to have been operating without public health inspections or approval since 2018 and noted that the tools were not being disinfected, and were being reused on multiple clients.
The store took to social media to argue that the statements made in this release were overblown, that they were not using the same tools on multiple clients and that every correction that was suggested – they have complied with.
One of the key issues seems to be a machine that was being wiped down with sanitizing wipes after each use, that the health unit suggested by washed with soap and water prior to sanitizing.
Other issues brought up during the video include the installation of a new sink, as the one in their washroom did not comply, and disinfecting new tools even if they have just been removed from new packaging.
The lengthy video goes into every infraction, but the store wanted to ensure the public that they take their jobs seriously and feel the way it has been worded is not a good representation of what actually transpired.
