Norfolk County Council will be hearing three deputations this afternoon.
The first will come from Adam Veri and Ryder Mandryk, providing an update on the Ryder’s Rainbow crosswalk fundraising.
A staff report will follow.
Next up will be Tamra Smith, introducing the idea of a Food Forest to the public.
Smith will be speaking on behalf of RISE to request Council’s assistance in making this project a reality.
The idea is to have a community garden in a public place were people are able to take any fruit or vegetables they need.
The final presentation will be regarding the homelessness crisis in downtown Simcoe made by Brian Jones.
Jones will be providing council with a report on the outcome of the Downtown Simcoe Warming Centre initiative that took place this winter.
