Monday was International Women’s Day, and we are continuing to take this opportunity to check in with some of our Women of Influence.
Julianna Forde has been keeping busy during these pandemic times, both in the kitchen and at the office.
We spoke to her about having to adapt to new restrictions, but still doing her best to support the community.
Sarah Page was busy that last time we chatted, the Chief Paramedic in Norfolk County during COVID-19.
Checking in now, she hasn’t taken anything off her plate, instead she added a role when it comes to vaccine rollout in Haldimand-Norfolk.
Nikki Shawana says she has never been so busy at home.
While juggling the job of homeschooling her three children, she has actually expanded her reach by entering many classrooms across the province virtually speaking about Anishinaabe heritage and culture.
She is also hosting several workshops.
Until then, you can catch up on the 18 women we’ve highlighted in the community to date here and here.
