A 54-year-old Norfolk County man has died as a result of an early morning collision.
Police say a car was traveling down Highway 24 and was turning onto St. Johns Road East when a motorcyclist collided with the rear of the vehicle.
The operator of the motorcycle sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
Norfolk County Highway 24 East is currently closed between Lynn Valley Road and Highway 6 to allow for further investigation.
Meanwhile, police are putting out a reminder to please obey road closure signs.
After the fatal collision, a 77-year-old Norfolk County man didn’t just drive around the barricades but rather straight through it causing significant damage to their vehicle.
He were charged with careless driving.
Then this afternoon, police were sent out to Highway 24 and East Quarterline Road after another car and motorcycle collided, sending the motorcyclists to a Toronto hospital by air ambulance.
The investigation into this crash is ongoing.
