The three-way race to Mayor is starting to look like a three-way brawl.
Several times throughout Delhi’s debate last week and during this week’s discussion in Port Dover, our Mayoral candidates called out their opponent on issues, and at times, it got personal.
Charlie Luke made a note in his closing statements that anyone has the right to run for Mayor, but if you do, he feels you should be prepared to take on the role without distractions.
Kristal Chopp is a pilot but said she is off the vast majority of the month but does need to work the occasional weekends.
Russell Colebrook went on the say there are powers at play that he feels trying to manipulate this election, starting with getting him out of the race.
At a previous debate, Luke said he had the equivalent to a Ph.D. in Municipal Politics due to his on the job training.
Chopp said looking at the council’s financial record; it was hard to see that.
The next municipal debate takes place at the Waterford Old Town Hall on October 10th.
Ward 7 Candidates will discuss the issues beginning at 7 p.m.
