During an emergency every second counts. That’s why the Haldimand-Norfolk Housing Corporation has been busy sharing information about their ‘Vial of Life’ program.
Kyra Kraemer and Alana Bissessar have spent the summer visiting their clients to help tenants get set up with their own Vial of Life.
The program is used to provide the patients medical information when a patient is not able to speak or can’t remember.
Bissessar says the vials can be used for both young and old.
The information is placed in a pouch or holder that is affixed with a magnet to the refrigerator door.
There is also a decal attached to the front door of the home to alert first responders that a Vial of Life is present.
