Norfolk County will see the effect of the PC’s decision to drop the Cap and Trade and Green ON program.
The county had applied for $15,000 for the Cap and Trade program to go towards roof repairs that were estimated to cost $35,000.
This project will continue without the funding.
One project has been canceled that would have seen capital repairs going towards an apartment building as part of a social housing project.
$150,000 was supposed to be received for the $165,000 project which saw the replacement of boiler systems to improving efficiencies and the long-term sustainability of the building.
Without the Green ON funding, the project has not been canceled and will be re-evaluated in the 2019 budget.
