The Delhi Community Policing Committee learned one thing about some people in Delhi over the weekend: They are making life very easy for thieves.
With vehicle break and enters up, members of the police committee checked 238 vehicles to see if people are following the OPP’s message of lock it or lose it.
The OPP and policing committee found that there were three vehicles with the window open, two cars unlocked and 53 vehicles with valuables in view.
Members found that 180 vehicles were locked and did not have any items of value in site.
Vehicles that were found to have valuables visible in the front seat included items such as money, cellular phones, wallets, purses, documents, sunglasses, and GPS units.
The OPP want to remind everyone that if you can’t take the items with you, please put them out of sight.
