The Ontario SPCA tell myFM new orders have been placed on the owners who have been under fire from protesters over the condition of two sick horses in Waterford.
On Wednesday, the agency says papers issued under the provincial animal welfare legislation were handed to the owners forcing them to take action to improve the animals living conditions and overall well-being.
In a release, the Ontario SPCA says the owner has been very cooperative to address the needs of the animals and that ongoing veterinary care will continue.
Moving forward, the Ontario SPCA, the Norfolk OPP, the owner of the horses, and the vet will all work together with the ensure the horses continue to receive care and the attention they require.
Last week, pictures of three sick horses were shared on social media, and it immediately sparked public outrage.
One of the horses had to be put down due to illness last Sunday.
