The Norfolk OPP say just before 11 a.m. on Monday, they received a phone call after someone left a dog inside of a car with the windows completely rolled up.
The vehicle left prior to police arriving but the licence plate number was provided to the attending officer who will follow up with the owner of the vehicle.

This incident occurred sometime over the weekend when someone spray painted a door on a building located on the property.

A man’s plan to steal from a cheese shop did not turn out “grate.”
Police were called out Monday morning to Jensen Cheese after a man took a backpack from the property.
He was quickly found and arrested.
The 26-year-old Norfolk County man was charged with theft under $5000 and failing to comply with his probation order.
A big theft in Port Dover.
Police are reporting that someone stole a trailer and a boat from a Nelson Street West property during the early morning hours on Monday.
The trailer is described as a 2008 black Kara that contained a yellow and white 18-foot 2008, Sea-Doo Speedster.

An elderly woman robbed in broad daylight.
The Norfolk OPP say on Monday, shortly after 5 p.m., an elderly woman was walking down the sidewalk on Court Street in Simcoe when a man approached her and stole the bag she was carrying.
He was spotted running to a nearby apartment building on Peel Street.
If anyone has any information or can identify the male responsible, they are being asked to contact the OPP immediately.
Two more cases of windows being shot with pellet guns.
On Monday, at around 1:30 p.m., officers were sent to an Evergreen Hill Road address after someone shot a window of a home with a pellet gun.
A few hours later, officers were called to Shoppers Drug Mart after someone shot the front window with a pellet gun sometime overnight.

An E-bike operator narrowly avoiding tragedy.
On Monday afternoon, officers were called out after an E-bike was spotted travelling along the sidewalk on Norfolk Street North between Crescent Boulevard and Windham Street.
While riding on the sidewalk, the operator shot across the roadway against a red light.
Police are urging everyone that operates an e-bike to review the safety requirements and to always put their safety a priority.
