While traveling in Norfolk County, you never know what animal could dart out in front of your vehicle. On Monday night, a 49-year old man was reminded of this fact. Police say a pickup truck and a horse collided on Windham Road 6. The driver was not injured. The horse hurt its rear leg but will be okay.
The OPP is investigating another theft of an ATM — this time, in the town of Oakland. According to police, it happened sometime overnight on November 19th. Thieves dragged an ATM from the Esso Gas bar on King Street causing damage to the building. The suspect vehicle is a dark-colored GMC or Chevy quad cab pick-up truck. Anyone with information is being asked to call the OPP Criminal Investigations Unit at 1-888-310-1122.
A missing person from Selkirk has been found in good health. 60-year old Gordon Smith was reported missing on Monday. Police say Smith dropped his daughter off in Hamilton and never returned home. The OPP want to thank everyone who assisted in their search efforts.

Over the past few days, the OPP in Oxford County (Tillsonburg area) arrested and charged four drivers with stunt driving. Those arrested include a 40-year man, 26-year old man, a 50-year old man and an 18-year old. Police clocked vehicles traveling nearly 180 km per hour in posted 80 zones. The OPP say it’s fortunate no one was killed. Stunt driving automatically comes with a $2,000 and a license suspension for a week.
