Norfolk County Council is keeping their fingers crossed for a mild November and December.
This week at Townhall, Norfolk’s Treasurer James Johnson shared some eye-opening news.
He said the county has blown past their projected budget for winter road maintenance this year.
During budget deliberations, council voted to cut their winter roads budget to avoid a tax increase.
Johnson later announced that they’re looking at setting up a Winter Roads Reserve Fund as a backup measure in case they meet this kind of situation again.
