Talks between Norfolk County Staff and Mayor Charlie Luke will take place today following a horrific scene in Port Dover over the long weekend.
On Saturday, a man drove his van onto a crowded beach nearly striking several people.
Good Samaritans were able to pull the man out of the van and hold him down until police arrived.
The Mayor tells myFM today’s talk will focus on implementing permanent barriers to keep vehicles from driving into the beach.
The O-P-P say 43-year-old Yourem Mako of Stoney Creek was charged with impaired driving, driving over the legal limit, dangerous driving, and failure to comply with probation.
A video posted on social media shows the van reversing off the beach and then driving back onto it, where there were groups of people.
