The Long Point Region Conservation Authority has issued a Flood Watch for all areas along the Lake Erie shoreline.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is currently forecasting Long Point to rise 0.4 meters above the current level to an elevation of 175.1 meters.
Wave heights are expected to reach up to 2.5 meters in the Long Point area.
Lake levels are expected to begin to rise Tuesday morning and peak between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
If this surge level is reached, some flooding can be expected in low lying areas along the Lake Erie shoreline.
People are urged to use caution or stay away from Lake Erie shoreline areas experiencing strong wave action and elevated water levels.
