Bridging the disconnect between the public and the farm.
Brett Schuyler of Schuyler Farms has been making social media videos of him speaking with migrant workers who come down to his farm to lend a hand.
He says he has heard a lot of false perceptions about farmers and the workers that come down, something he has never witnessed.
So, he is pulling out the camera to highlight some people who work on his farm like Hassel Kennedy who has been a part of the Canadian Temporary Workers Program for 29 years and loves coming back to our area every summer to help support his family.
The other person featured in the video series so far is Tamica Courtney, who has been coming down for the last four years to help save up to send her children to the best schools possible.
Schuyler wants to community to see the men and women who come down and work hard to provide for themselves and their family.
He expects several more videos in the future and hopes more of the public gets to understand what’s happening on Norfolk County farms and celebrating the great story.
