So far this year, there has been a string of close calls involving drivers who pass school buses while children are boarding. On Tuesday morning, police arrested and charged a 31-year old man after he collided into a school bus in nearby Oxford County. The good news, no children were on board at the time of the crash. According to police, a driver ran a stop sign and collided with a school bus and a transport truck. Both the driver of that car and the school operator were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. After investigating, Denny Tanguay was charged impaired driving and had his license suspended for 90-days. In the United States, five children have been struck and killed by motorists who refused to stop for school buses who were picking up and dropping off children so far this year.
