Hundreds of people are getting set to lace up their running shoes to raise money for cancer research and to honor the memory of Terry Fox.
It’s the 38th edition of the annual charity run.
Fox was forced to end his cross-country Marathon of Hope in Thunder Bay after his cancer spread to his lungs.
Local Chairperson Jenn Kaczynski is hoping people come out for run day to honor Fox’s legacy.
This year’s Terry Fox run takes place on Sunday, September 16th at the Lions Ball Park in Simcoe.
Registration begins at 10 am. The run itself starts at 11 am.
To date, the Terry Fox Foundation has raised more than $900-million for cancer research.
