The big blitz on Highway 6 snagged several drivers.
On November 14th, police targeted the “Big 4” and were on the lookout for motorists either driving aggresively, impaired, distracted, or not wearing a seatbelt.
OPP laid 190 charges during the traffic enforcement on Highway 6 which included:
-28 speeding charges
-51 various Highway Traffic Act and Provincial Offence charges
-4 distracted driving charges
-2 Tobacco Tax Act charges
-1 seat belt charge
and 9 Commercial Motor Vehicle inspections which resulted in 4 commercial motor vehicles taken out of service
