The Six Nations Fire & Emergency Services have been forced to shut down one of their fire stations after vandals targeted it.
They say thieves cut through a security fence at Station 3 on Cayuga Road, broke through a double cinderblock concrete wall and bypassed the security system.
Thieves then stole all of the equipment from two fire trucks and attempted to take the fire trucks damaging them significantly in the process.
Damage has been pegged at over $200,000.
Authorities say, as a result, there will be a delay in emergency response to the Fire Station #3 district.
