Canadian farmers reported increased production of wheat and barley this year.
But a Statistics Canada report says volumes of canola, corn for grain, soybeans and oats were down compared to 2017.
Nationally, farmers reported producing 31.8 million tonnes of wheat this year and 20.3 million tonnes of canola.
Corn for grain production was at 13.9 million tonnes and barley came in at 8.4 million tonnes.
Farmers reported that soybean production fell from 7.7 million tonnes last year to 7.3 million tonnes in 2018.
Nationally, the production of oats decreased from 3.7 million acres in 2017 to 3.4 million acres this year.
