With high temperatures and humidity steaming up classrooms across the county, there are calls for the provincial government to address the lack of air conditioning in many schools.

The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario says it considers extreme heat a health and safety concern for teachers too.
Ontario currently has a 16-billion-dollar repair backlog for schools across the province.
