The bird is the word at Town Hall on Tuesday with our Lame Duck Council being asked about backyard chickens.
Council returns from summer break tomorrow with a smaller agenda thanks to them entering a Lame Duck stage.
There are still two deputations to look at with one being a request to allow a trial period for chickens in Simcoe.
A little over a year ago, council approved backyard chickens in the Hamlet areas of Norfolk County, and staff has reported to myFM there have been no complaints on the issue to date.
Meantime, Christie Delahunt from The Twisted Fish will be expressing concerns about partnering up with the County.
The meeting will start off on a special note as well with Shirley Shaw receiving the Sovereign’s Medal of Volunteers for Exceptional Volunteer Achievements.
