A Grand Erie District School Board Teacher is once again being looked at by the Ontario College of Teachers.
Back in 2017, Tim Sullivan was found guilty of professional misconduct for discussing his anti-vaccination views with students and was suspended without pay for three days during this time.
Part of the suspension had to do with Sullivan speaking with media about the subject.
Now, Sullivan is once again up for another public hearing regarding alleged actions.
In the documents before the College, many different claims have been laid against the teacher regarding his choice of words and spreading his personal opinions with students.
One of the claims says that Sullivan told students that mental health conditions, like depression and anxiety, are not real health issues and it is the fault of individuals suffering from these conditions.
He also reportedly told students that people who commit suicide and mass shootings have taken anti-depressants.
He also allegedly stated that asthma is not real.
He is also accused of telling students last year, despite being warned against speaking about the subject, that vaccines cause autism, have a 100 per cent failure rate and may cause death.
He also accused of using board resources to print off 2 copies of a 230-page article titled “Truth Will Provail: To Vaccine or Not to Vaccine” and also providing reading material to students titled “The Untold Story of Measles.”
His language is also in question, with claims stating he told students to “shut up,” “shut the hell up” and/or “shut your damn mouth.”
He also is alleged to have repeated to the class comments from a student that was “anybody who doesn’t vaccinate is f—ing r—–d,” or words to that effect.
He was suspended without pay for 10 days.
The date he will appear before the board has yet to be determined.
Right now, he is still listed as a teacher on Waterford District High School’s website.
