Despite COVID-19 restrictions and public health concerns, the Pottahawk Pissup took place yesterday (Sunday).
Premier Doug Ford commented on the event Friday during his press conference.
The concern he shared was large groups gathering and possibly American’s bringing their boats over the join in on the party.
All that being said, a large group of over 700 boats gathered in the region for the annual celebration.
That was Constable Ed Sanchuk reporting from Pottahawk yesterday.
In previous years, as many of 2000 vessels have arrived at the location.
As of 4:30 p.m. yesterday, there were over 400 boats still in Pottahawk and no charges had been laid.
