
A local taxi company allegedly took advantage of the system.
Police say they received a call from Ontario Works after they noticed several inconsistencies in financial transactions with a local taxi company in Simcoe.
Investigators from the Norfolk OPP Crime Unit commenced an investigation into the incident which occurred between the years of 2014 to 2017.
Police believe Ontario Works was defrauded over $90,000 from this company.
Three Norfolk County residents have been charged with Fraud over $5000.
They are 29-year-old Gregory Allan Ritchie, 53-year-old Wendy Diane Ritchie, and 46-year-old Jordan Walter Petrella.
All will appear in court at a later date.
