Despite things not working out the way they planned, the future is looking bright for Pretty Smart Holdings, a small-scale, family-owned luxury property development, and management company.
Last night at Council, their request approved the planned luxury inn on George Street in Port Dover but their plans to build a boutique store were put on hold by Councillors.
Hélène Larochelle, one-half of Pretty Smart, was alright with that decision for now.
Larochelle is optimistic about the future, pointing out that the wording Council used could allow them to bring up the possibility of a retail space down the road.
She adds that they fell in love with Port Dover before moving here from Toronto, and they hope to turn The George into something magical with their inn.
