As trees lose their leaves, Norfolk County is reminding residents not to rake them onto the road.
They say that doing so can lead to clogged sewer drains, and can create a slippery hazard for drivers and pedestrians.
Instead, you can collect your leaves in paper bags to be put out during Norfolk County’s Leaf and Yard Waste Collection period.
That collection period will last, in urban areas, until the week of November 25th.
They add that leaves can also be mulched directly into the lawn, or added to compost.
