Late Saturday night, fire crews were called to a reported structure fire on Indian Line including the Norfolk County Fire Department, the Six Nations Fire Department, and the Haldimand County Fire Department.
The fire was located next to the three borders but was confirmed to be within Norfolk County.
Despite that, the departments worked together with the Six Nations Fire Department and Haldimand Fire Department being able to return to their districts after almost an hour, while Norfolk County firefighters remained on scene.
Fire Prevention Officer Michael Atkins says that no one was home at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported, although damage is estimated at around $400,000.
The cause of the fire has not been determined but is not considered suspicious.
