The local New Democrats have a candidate for the Federal Election.
Yesterday (Thursday), the party announced the Adrienne Roberts will be running for Haldimand-Norfolk’s next member of parliament.
Roberts has taught in several high schools throughout Haldimand and Norfolk and is an active member of the District 23 Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation chapter and served in various executive and committee positions within two separate bargaining units over the past decade.
In the release it says that Roberts is invested in working to ensure that Canadians have equitable access programs like universal pharmacare, and in protecting pensions for everyone.
It adds the NDP candidate is also committed to advocating in Parliament for investing in rural communities, tackling poverty, and developing good jobs.
