Swimmers are being welcomed back to the Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre following the completion of repairs and facility upgrades at the Simcoe Recreation Centre.
Norfolk County says the pool has reopened, with regular aquatic programming, including swimming lessons and drop-in activities, now resumed.
To celebrate the reopening, the County is offering two free swims this weekend:
- Family Swim: Saturday, October 24, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
- Public Swim: Sunday, October 25, from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m.
Residents can find schedules for public swims, length swims, aquafit and other drop-in aquatic programs on Norfolk County’s Recreation webpage.
Pre-registration for drop-in activities is available through ENCORE.
While the pool is open, the Simcoe Recreation Centre’s multi-purpose floor remains closed as structural repairs continue.
The floor is expected to reopen November 2, subject to completion of the work. Programs and activities requiring the floor remain unavailable until it reopens.
Norfolk County thanked residents and facility users for their patience during the closure.
