Norfolk County Public Library is giving patrons a chance to clear their overdue fines while helping people in need throughout the community.
Fine Free Week is running from October 5 through October 10 at all Norfolk County Public Library branches.
During the week, patrons can visit their local branch during regular opening hours and have overdue fines cleared by donating non-perishable food or toiletry items.
The donated items will be distributed to local food banks and Free Little Pantries, helping provide necessities to people and families in the community.
The fine-free offer applies to overdue fines, but does not include charges related to damaged or lost library materials.
