Five nights of motorsports will bring high-octane action to the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show.
Norfolk County Agricultural Society General Manager Angela Hogeveen says the motorsports lineup has become a major part of the Fair.
The action gets underway Tuesday, October 6 with the FMX World Tour – Stars of Freestyle Motocross, featuring professional riders performing motocross, BMX and extreme motorcycle stunts.
Hogeveen said this is a great way to keep the kids at the fair longer after showing up bright and early for Young Canada Day.
The action continues on Wednesday.
The Edge Motorsports Destruction Demolition Derby on Wednesday, featuring Figure 8 Racing and Light Build Trucks, has more than $7,000 in prize money available.
The Demolition Derby on the Monday, featuring Light Build Compact, Pro Stock Full Size and Light Build Full Size classes, has more than $11,000 in prize money available..
The motorsports events are free with Fair admission, although a limited number of reserved seats are available for Monday night’s demolition derby for $5.
Additional bleacher seating remains available at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Fair is also introducing a new promotion this year called Big Deal Wednesday.
Wednesday, October 7 will include Seniors Day at the gate, along with a $45 Friends & Family Special. The offer includes admission for two adults and any number of children aged 13 and under after 3 p.m.
Hogeveen says the promotion is designed to give families another opportunity to enjoy the Fair while saving on admission.
The 186th Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show runs October 6 through 12.
