The Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show is looking for a few more volunteers ahead of this year’s fair.
The 186th Norfolk County Fair runs from October 6 to 12 and will feature seven days of agriculture, entertainment, competitions, food, midway attractions and community traditions.
Norfolk County Agricultural Society general manager Angela Hogeveen says the organization depends heavily on volunteers to help make the fair a success.
Hogeveen says there are still a variety of opportunities available for people interested in getting involved, with volunteer positions offered across many areas of the fair.
She adds that many retirees volunteer with the fair, as well as people who simply want to become more involved with the event and give back to the community.
While the positions are volunteer-based, Hogeveen says there are still a number of benefits that come with helping out.
