A generous donation from the Radvansky family is helping shape the future of student learning at Delhi District Secondary School while honouring the memory of a community member who believed strongly in the power of education.
The family contributed $50,000 toward the school’s newly renovated Innovative Technology Hub, a modern learning space designed to provide students with more opportunities for hands-on education in welding, design, fabrication and other skilled technology programs.
The donation was made in honour of Joe Radvansky, whose family says he valued education, innovation and lifelong learning throughout his career as both an aeronautical engineer and tobacco farmer.
The contribution helped complete the renovation of the Technology Hub, purchase new equipment and establish a Mac Lab. The family is also supporting students beyond the classroom through a scholarship focused on STEAM-related post-secondary studies.
The renovated space transformed a previously underused area into a student-focused learning environment designed to support students across a variety of pathways.
The new space will welcome students in September and is expected to support innovative programming and skill development for years to come.
