Today: In its 59th year, the Simcoe Heritage Friendship Festival is a FREE, family-friendly event with something for everyone. The weekend kicks off Friday with the Downtown Simcoe BIA Friday Night Kick-off Party on Argyle Street, followed by a FREE showing of School of Rock in the park. Tomorrow: Field to Fabric 2026 at Backus Heritage Conservation Area from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
From flax to linen in the Backus Heritage Village. Visit the Weaving Shop to see the steps & equipment involved in creating linen from flax fibre. Demonstrations in spinning and weaving.

Sunday: Community Worship in the Park (Simcoe Heritage Friendship Festival) at Wellington Park from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Everyone is invited to come to a Community Worship-in-the-Park Event happening as part of Simcoe Heritage Friendship Festival. Hosted by Church Out Serving and the Simcoe Norfolk Ministerial Association, we are excited to have been invited by the Festival to host lan open-air worship service in the park as part of their annual civic holiday weekend activities. The Church Out Serving Worship Band will lead the celebration in song time, and local faith leaders will be participating with scripture readings and prayers for our community. You don’t need to be connected with a church to come, everyone is welcome!

Sunday: Waterford Legion Corn Roast at Royal Canadian Legion – Waterford from 4:00 – 8:00 pm
