United Way Golden Horseshoe is celebrating a record-breaking year after its annual Warehouse Sale raised $206,000 to support local programs across Brant, Brantford, Haldimand and Norfolk.
The fundraiser brought together more than 2,000 shoppers, 100 volunteers and over 20 local sponsors and product donors. The total was more than $50,000 higher than last year’s event, making it the most successful Warehouse Sale in recent history.
A special cheque presentation recognized the businesses, volunteers and community partners who helped make the event a success.
Funds raised will stay in the local communities and help support 30 programs focused on food security, mental health, children and youth, and other essential services.
United Way Golden Horseshoe President and CEO Brad Park said the sale showed what can happen when businesses, volunteers and residents work together to strengthen their communities.
Regional Director Beth Luciani added every dollar raised will remain local, helping individuals and families access the supports they need while building stronger communities for everyone.
