The Simcoe & District Minor Hockey Association is inviting families to Talbot Gardens on Saturday, July 25, for an in-person registration event and community equipment swap.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon in the large parking lot at Talbot Gardens and is designed to help players get ready for the upcoming hockey season.
Families can register for the Simcoe Warriors while also shopping for affordable gently used hockey equipment. The equipment swap gives players a chance to find gear they need while helping other local hockey families save money.
The association is also accepting donations of gently used equipment. Anyone interested in donating gear is encouraged to contact organizer Derek in advance by email at derek.sdmha@outlook.com
People who would like to sell their own hockey equipment are welcome to take part but must bring their own table or tent. Sellers are also asked to contact association president Tracy at presidentsimcoewarriors@gmail.com before the event so organizers can plan the layout and ensure there is enough space for everyone.
