Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a shoplifting incident at a business in Caledonia.
The Haldimand County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said officers were called to a business on Argyle Street South on June 8 at about 1:17 p.m. after receiving a report of a theft.
According to investigators, an unknown individual entered the store, selected merchandise, and left without making any attempt to pay. Police say the suspect then fled the area in a white sport utility vehicle.
The person police are trying to identify is described as an Indigenous female, approximately 5-foot-2 with a heavy build and black hair. She was wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, and black shoes, and was carrying a large black purse.
The investigation remains ongoing.
