Norfolk County OPP is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected to a theft investigation in Delhi.
Police say officers responded to a report of a theft at a Marshall Avenue property on Monday, June 22, at approximately 6:05 a.m. An investigation determined that one or more unknown individuals entered a vehicle sometime during the overnight hours and stole a wallet containing a bank card.
According to police, the stolen bank card was later used by an unidentified individual at a business on Church Street West in Delhi shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 21.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with brown hair and brown facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering. Police have released a photograph of the suspect in hopes that someone in the community may recognize him.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can also be provided through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at helpsolvecrime.com, where tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
Police are also reminding residents to lock their vehicles, remove valuables, and report any suspicious activity.
