Norfolk County residents are being invited to attend an information session tonight to learn more about major changes coming to curbside waste collection later this year.
The County is hosting a New Waste Collection Program Open House from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Simcoe Recreation Centre in the Dogwood Room. A formal presentation is scheduled for 7 p.m.
County staff will provide an overview of the new curbside waste collection program set to launch on September 28, 2026. Topics expected to be discussed include cart options, waste exemption applications, collection timelines, and how the changes will impact residents, farms, and businesses across Norfolk County.
Officials say the open house is designed to give residents an opportunity to ask questions directly and better understand how the updated system will operate before implementation begins.
The County has previously stated the changes are part of ongoing efforts to modernize waste collection services and improve efficiency throughout Norfolk.
Residents unable to attend can still find more information about the upcoming program changes online through Norfolk County’s waste collection information page.
