Norfolk County OPP continue to investigate a fatal collision that claimed the life of a 75-year-old Norfolk County resident.
Emergency crews, including Norfolk County Fire Services, paramedics, and Ornge, responded to the crash Sunday afternoon at approximately 12:07 p.m.
Police say the collision involved a sport utility vehicle and a pickup truck at the intersection of Villa Nova Road and Concession 3 in Townsend.
According to investigators, the driver of the pickup truck suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV and two passengers were transported to hospital with injuries that police described as undetermined.
Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
The roadway remained closed for several hours while investigators documented the scene and gathered evidence.
Police say further updates will be released as more information becomes available.
