Simcoe showed its community spirit in a big way during McHappy Day, raising $7,300 for important local causes.
The event took place Wednesday, May 6 at the McDonald’s Queensway Simcoe, with proceeds supporting Ronald McDonald House South Central Ontario and Simcoe’s Special Olympians.
Owner-operator Ellen Carew said the success highlights the generosity of the community.
“McHappy Day continues to show the incredible power of Norfolk County’s support,” Carew said. “Thanks to local residents, businesses, and volunteers, this year’s event was a resounding success.”
She added the funds will help families staying at Ronald McDonald House and provide opportunities for local athletes.
Community members contributed by purchasing meals and making donations throughout the day, turning everyday visits into meaningful support.
Organizers say the strong turnout once again proves how local efforts can make a lasting difference.
