Two Norfolk County youths are facing charges following an assault investigation in Simcoe.
Norfolk OPP say officers responded to a report of an assault Tuesday afternoon around 2 p.m. on Bonnie Drive.
Investigators determined three individuals were involved in an interaction in the area during which two people allegedly assaulted a third individual, resulting in minor injuries.
Police also learned during the investigation that the victim had allegedly been assaulted by the same individuals the previous day.
As a result, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old — both from Norfolk County — were arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identities of the accused cannot be released.
Both youths are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
