Mental Health Week activities continue in Norfolk County with two major community events focused on wellness, connection, and support services.
Today, CMHA Brant Haldimand Norfolk is hosting “Come Together, Canada” at its Simcoe location on Queensway West from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Organizers say the event is designed to promote stronger community connections and better mental health through a day featuring information booths, live music, interactive activities, food trucks, and a mental health art crawl.
Community organizations and local support services will also be available throughout the event to connect residents with mental health resources.
Mental Health Week activities will continue Saturday with the Mental Health and Wellness Expo at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds.
The expo will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside the CIBC Auditorium at the fairgrounds and is being organized by South Coast Wellness in collaboration with CMHA.
The event will feature guest speakers, community booths, family-friendly activities, and opportunities for residents to learn more about mental health and wellness supports available throughout the region.
Organizers say the first 50 mothers attending Saturday’s event will receive complimentary bouquets donated by Berkel Bloem, while food vendors and door prizes will also be part of the day’s activities.
Both events are open to the public and form part of broader Mental Health Week efforts aimed at reducing stigma and encouraging conversations around mental wellness.
