Celebrate the creativity of local students this weekend as Lynnwood Arts hosts the opening reception for its Art Expressions Exhibition.
The event will take place Saturday, May 9 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the arts centre on Lynnwood Avenue in Simcoe. Admission is free and open to everyone.
The exhibition features artwork created by high school students from the Grand Erie District School Board and the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board. Organizers say the showcase highlights the talent, imagination, and artistic growth of young creators from across the region.
Visitors can expect to see a wide range of artwork, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, and mixed media pieces. The exhibit reflects both personal expression and the dedication students have put into developing their artistic skills.
The reception also gives families, teachers, friends, and community members a chance to meet the young artists and celebrate the importance of arts education in the community.
