It’s McHappy Day in Simcoe today, with local McDonald’s restaurants raising funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities and Simcoe Special Olympians.
Owner-operator Ellen Carew says a portion of every menu item sold today will help support families with sick children who need to travel for hospital care and accommodation.
She goes over their goal this year.
She also talked about a newer McHappy Day tradition – reaching out to the schools.
The Queensway McDonald’s locations is open 24 hours, with staff, volunteers, and local groups helping serve customers throughout the day.
Customers can also donate in-store, purchase McHappy Day merchandise, or round up their total at the register, with all proceeds going to charity.
We will be live on location today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
