A late-night 9-1-1 call has resulted in an impaired driving charge in Delhi.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on James Street on Friday, April 24, at approximately 11:14 p.m.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle described in the call and conducted a roadside sobriety test. Following the assessment, the driver was taken into custody without incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old Norfolk County resident has been charged with operation while impaired, with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit. Police did not report any injuries or collisions in connection with the incident.
Police continue to remind the public that impaired driving remains a serious safety concern and encourage anyone who suspects a driver is impaired to call 9-1-1 immediately.
