A Norfolk County man is facing charges following an assault investigation in Delhi that left one individual with minor injuries.
The Ontario Provincial Police says officers responded to a report of an assault at a property on Herbert Avenue at approximately 8:40 p.m. on April 14. When officers arrived, they began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police say two individuals were interacting at the location when a third person became involved. During the interaction, that individual was allegedly assaulted by one of the parties, resulting in minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on May 26.
Officers continue to remind the public that incidents involving violence should be reported immediately, and support services are available for those affected.
