Residents interested in volunteering and exploring a future in policing are invited to attend an upcoming information session hosted by the Ontario Provincial Police.
The session will take place May 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Norfolk County OPP detachment, offering an opportunity to learn more about the Auxiliary Program.
The program allows volunteers to support frontline officers, participate in community events, and gain valuable experience in policing.
Organizers say the session will outline the application process, responsibilities, and expectations for auxiliary members, as well as the benefits of joining the program.
It can also serve as a stepping stone for those considering a career with the OPP.
Those interested are encouraged to register in advance through the OPP website. Additional information about the Auxiliary Program, including how to apply, is also available online.
